The 2026 Graphic Design Scholarship Application opens on March 23rd - April 17th
Students in the graphic design concentration are eligible to apply for the Clarvit Design Scholarship and the Department of Art Van Crews Scholarship.
The Clarvit Design Scholarship
The Clarvit Design Scholarship provides funds to design concentration students who have achieved a high degree of merit. Art studio students may apply after they have been accepted into the design concentration. Current Clarvit Design Scholarship recipients may reapply for the award in subsequent years. Applications are due mid-April each year. The selection is competitive.
The Department of Art Van Crews Jr. Scholarship
The Department of Art Van Crews Jr. Scholarship is designated for a student who has been admitted into the design concentration. Current Van Crews Scholarship recipients may reapply for the award in subsequent years. Applications are due mid-April each year. The selection is competitive.
To apply for the Clarvit Design and Van Crews Scholarships, complete your application on Scholarship Universe. Applications will become available between March 23rd (8 am)– April 17th (5 pm). You must login with your UMD directory ID to access the form.
